I started this blog with the idea of doing what I love. Focus on ways of living the life we weave. As I have been writing about a simple life + happy life I realized that I would like to focus more on doing what I love to do. To me that is the definition of a simple life. Weaving my life in the direction I want it to go.
These past 2 weeks I haven’t written much. My youngest son graduated from high school and I was planning a small get together with a few of our family members. Now today the party is over and I am thinking now what?
Realizing that I have enjoyed the planning, cooking and decor making and making my sons day special. I am going to miss having something to plan. Being creative is what I love. Whether it’s planning a party, cooking different foods or even changing the decor in my home. Being creative is what I enjoy.
Now What?
All of my children have become adults. They still need me but not in the way that I was needed when they were younger. I guess my husband and I are becoming kind of empty nester’s. With the pandemic the kids are living with us but we are still living our separate lives in a way.
It’s hard to not be sad that those times of being needed all of the time are in the past. I will be there when my children need me but live a life that I love also. One that doesn’t just revolve around my children.
Being creative is what I want to do right now. One of my dreams since I was in my twenties is to make items and sell them. I have always dreamed about owning a small country style shop. It might not be possible to have a physical place right now but I can have one here on the internet.
Most of you know that we recently moved back home to Arizona. I love the house we bought but I knew in time I would change things up a bit. Buying it with ideas in mind. Now is the time for change. I am feeling creative. I will be sharing each and every step with you.
Life Changes but doing what I love
I am going to weave a life that I will enjoy. A life that I look forward to waking up to everyday while still focusing on a simple life. Just because my goals have changed doesn’t mean that I haven’t succeeded in my life. It means I have achieved my goals and I am moving on to some new ones and revisiting some old ones.
