Fabulous Home Staging Decor That Will Make Your House Gorgeous
Staging your home with the right decor helps sale your house. Home Staging your home doesn’t have to cost a ton of money. It also doesn’t mean you have to buy home decor that you will never use again. The decor that you will be buying to stage with needs to go with what items you already own. This way you will not be spending a lot of money on items that will go to waste.
When I put my homes up for sale I went through my decor and picked out what I thought was good to keep out for staging and packed all the rest up. Some of my decor was tired looking like the throw pillows, comforter, rugs. Knowing that new ones were needed to freshen up the space. These items are probably something that needs to be bought for the new home anyway. Just keep in your home decor taste and no money will be wasted.
Don’t forget some items will need to stay with the house like new light fixtures, curtains etc. Remember this helps sell your house faster and for more money.

Home Decor To Stage With
Throw pillows add so much to a room. They pull everything together or add some color and personality.
Handwoven Bohemian Throw Pillow from overstock is a great way to add subtle color to your living room. This pillow comes as a cover in different sizes and polyester or down filled. Adding extra pillows to a sofa makes a room look welcoming.
This beautiful Embroidered Floral Pillow Cover is a great way to add brightness to a darker room. Use a pillow you already have or do what I do and buy a bag of polyfil and stuff it. This is great to add it to a sofa or stack it with solid color pillow on a bed. This would be great to add to your spring decor after you used it for home staging.
Add a Postscript Throw Pillow into your home decor. This pillow has the neutral colors that go with any color scheme that you may have. If you have a bright colored sofa or chair this would be a great way to tone it down for prospective buyers. This is my favorite pillow.
This pillow says it all. A Welcome Throw Pillow in the entryway sitting in a basket or on a chair is a great way to greet anyone who enters the house. While home staging a house these little subtle ways of making one feel comfortable goes a long way.
Wall Decor is Important in Home Staging Decor
If you read my other posts on home staging you probably have some empty walls from when you depersonalized. (If you haven’t yet click here to read the very informative posts.) Below are some wonderful ideas that will go great in home staging and to bring along to your new home.
This is such a versatile piece. It can go in any room you want it too with most any type of home decor. The Dandelion Metal panel would be a great addition to your decor.
Hang this Macrame Tapestry in the entryway or even in the bathroom. It is such a nice neutral color and piece that it will compliment all spaces without distracting from the house
A Hand woven Tapestry is a way to add elegance to your hallway. It can also help with making your ceiling seem taller since it’s narrow and long.
Comforters Set The Tone For The Bedroom
This is where you will have to decide which way to go. Do you want to spend the money on a comforter to take with you or do you want to get one that is just for home staging. Comforters can be inexpensive or expensive. I usually get one just for the staging because I like changing up the decor in the bedroom.
Keep in mind no matter which way you choose make sure the comforter makes the bed feel nice and cozy and welcoming. Make someone want to jump on the bed and cuddle up.
This 3 piece comforter set comes in all sizes and many different colors to choose from. It’s an affordable option that you might want to use in your new home too. Add a few more throw pillows and the cuddlefest can begin.
This Floral Comforter Set is reversible. Choose between the blue floral or the blue solid. Both would be great in a room with white, grey, blue, yellow or beige walls. Can’t go wrong.
Now this 8 piece Comforter Set has it all. I’m not just talking about it coming with matching throw pillows. It has a pattern where it adds to your decor but it is subtle enough to not over power your bedroom. This is my favorite out of the three. Which is yours?
These were just a few ideas to get you started. Keep checking back and I will share more home decor that is great for staging your house.
