So what are the best carpet cleaners for pets? There are so many carpet cleaners out there it’s hard to figure out which one to buy. When you have pets having one is pretty much a necessity. Even if you don’t have carpets they come in handy. Cats and dogs seem to find areas that can’t be easily cleaned up. This is where carpet cleaners or upholstery cleaners come in handy. Even if you don’t have pets these still are the best carpet cleaners that will do the job.

Which Carpet Cleaner is right for you?

Having cats in the house for years now has led to a lot of stains on carpet and furniture. I first started out using paper towels and some spray-on cleaner. This got up the (well we will call it stuff) but left some residual on the carpet or upholstery. After a while of doing this, I looked into professional cleaning and it was way too expensive.

That’s when I had the idea of looking for a carpet cleaner and found out they cost less than hiring someone to come in and clean it for me. I have owned a few upright cleaners and a few handheld cleaners. Below I will let you know which ones are the best carpet cleaners for pets and what they are useful for. I have or have used the carpet cleaners that are listed below and will let you know my likes and a few dislikes also.

Carpet Cleaners That Do the Best Job

Starting off with the upright carpet cleaner the best one that I have used is this Hoover Power Scrub Deluxe.

It’s an upright carpet cleaner with a hose attachment that is great for those couch accidents. This cleaner has a 20-foot long cord that is great to go from room to room without having to constantly unplug and replug in. If you have a house that has a lot of carpets this is a great piece of equipment that gets your carpet looking clean and refreshed. Easy to fill with water just bring the water tank to the sink and fill it up. The scrub brush help get the toughest stains out.

I haven’t been disappointed yet.

I did say I would list any negatives and the only one I have for the Hoover Power Scrub Deluxe is that it is big and not real easy to handle for small jobs. For larger jobs, it works great.

Best Portable Carpet Cleaner

This is my favorite by far. It is so easy to pick up and make a quick job of the clean-up. Keeping the canister filled with water and cleaning solution works out great. Having cats in the house it gets used almost every day. The upright vacuum is great for the whole house but when there is just one mess that needs to be cleaned up I use the Bissell Spotbot pet.

Just set the spin brush over the stain and turn it on and let it do its work. It’s amazing what good of a job it does. The Spotbot also has an upholstery hose on it that works great for hard to get areas that the spin brush can’t get to.

Another bonus is that it fits in a cabinet. It makes it easy to get to anytime. The one negative with this Bissell Spotbot pet is that the upholstery hose is sometimes hard to wrap back around to hook into place. It might take a couple of tries but it will go back. Once you get the hang of it there won’t be any problem.

Best Stain Erase (Carpet Cleaner)

This is a good stain eraser as the name says. It doesn’t take any water. You use the carpet cleaning solution that is made for the Bissell Stain Erase. Fill the cleaner tank with the stain remover turn it on spray your stain and let it do its magic.

The Stain erase does have a vacuum with a brush on it that pulls the cleaner out of the carpet or upholstery. I have mixed feelings on this one. It doesn’t seem like it is a carpet cleaner but like the name says Bissell Stain Erase it does work. No stains are left after using it multiple times on different messes.

Forgot to mention it is rechargeable so very handy to grab. It’s kind of like having carpet cleaner detergent in a fancy bottle. Instead of using paper towels to blot it up it sucks it up and leaves no stain embedded in the carpet.
