Remove Negativity

Remove Negative Thoughts From Your Life

Do you need to remove the negative thoughts from your life? I know I sure do. I seem to just look at all of the negative and not the positive. New Year Resolutions are usually not my thing but with all the negative energy coming from everywhere around me and within me. I feel like I need to do something about it. So I am making a resolution of focusing on the more positive in life than the negative.

Join Me: Remove Those Negative Thoughts From Your Life.

Looking back on the past couple of years there is a reason that there is so much negativity out there. We don’t have to let it take control of our lives. I’m not a Psychologist or Psychiatrist I’m just sharing what I feel will help me get the negative thoughts out of my life. Hopefully, you will find some ideas that will help you find the positives in yours.

Change Those Negative Thoughts

The first step to take is to turn those negative thoughts away. Whether they are about yourself, someone else, or an event. Try to find a positive in it. If you can’t think of a positive that’s okay. Sometimes there is not a positive just don’t let it consume your life.

Most of the time if you look for the positive it will show itself. Even if it’s a little far-fetched like say I spilled coffee on my shirt and ruined it. There doesn’t look like much positive can come from that does it? Let us grasp for one and say I didn’t need the caffeine anyway or I saved some calories and can eat a piece of candy instead. Even if my shirt was ruined and I don’t have any coffee I still found a positive. Yes, I was grasping for one but at least I found it. It made me focus on the positive, not on the negative.

Don’t say That

Never speak aloud those negative thoughts. Remember that saying? “If you can’t say something nice don’t say it at all.” This is a tough one for me. Complaining about things that have gone wrong with the day is something I do regularly. So making a rule for myself has helped with this. If I say a negative I have to say a positive. This makes it where I end my thought on a high note.

Write Down Feelings

Holding in all the negative isn’t good either. Writing down your thoughts and feelings will help let go and/or see the good that is happening also. Once you write down the bad try and let it go. Make sure you don’t dwell on it. Move on to a positive thought.

Some Negatives Need Taken Care Of Not forgotten

If it is something that needs to be acknowledged or taken care of by no means don’t just drop it. If there is a medical problem, relationship problem, or anything else that needs to be rectified take care of it as soon as you can and get back on track. Not everything can be forgotten but they can be taken care of.

Frustrated and Have To Get It Out

To remove negativity from your life isn’t all about forgetting about it. It’s also how to deal with it. There is so much negative energy out in this world that it gets frustrating. We are almost guaranteed to have some in our life. But it doesn’t mean we have to let it take over. Find a way to release the negative energy.

Running or swimming is a good release but not for everyone. I enjoy doing some kind of art. So I thought why not put some of my frustrations out on paper. Painting or drawing without a care of what I do. Just do it. Mess up that paper who knows it might turn out to be one great piece of art.

If that’s not for you. Try yelling, not at anyone just yell. If there are too many people around turn on the music and grab a blanket or pillow and yell into it.

Boxing is another great form of release. Don’t want to go to a gym? Airbox or even maybe grab the Nintendo Switch and the Kickboxing game and have some fun while doing it.
